MEET THE DENTIST
A.C Johnson, Jr. D.D.S
Dr. Al Johnson was born in York and grew up in parts of Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University in 1987 and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1992 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is licensed to practice dentistry in both North and South Carolina.
Winner of the “Best Dentists in their Field” award by Charlotte Magazine Every year since 2007.
Dr. Johnson
is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), South Carolina Dental Association and the Tri-County Dental Society. He served a three-year term as a delegate for the SCDA, representing York County, and is a past president of the Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Johnson’s passion for dentistry is evidenced by the array of continuing education seminars he attends, which always exceed the hours required by the ADA.
Besides his involvement in the dental organizations, he served as President of the York Rotary Club 2000-2001. Dr Johnson
is a former trustee (2008-2016) of the York School Board District #1 and is a member at First Presbyterian Church of York. He and his wife Karla have two sons, Cas and Garrett. They very much love this community and are proud to call York home.
